Dermatology Matters operate out of 2 locations, Suite 6 Blackrock clinic and University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, Clane (UPMC). Callaghan Condon MD, Consultant Dermatologist, is the lead clinician and has been in practice at Blackrock Clinic since 1997 and he is supported by highly trained nurse practitioners, Elaine, Lian, Vivienne, Virginia, and Lorna)
These dedicated professionals are supported by a fantastic team of administrative and support staff (Jennifer, Dee, Maura, Dorothy, Felicity and Rebecca) and of course the office manager, Rachel.
We at Dermatology Matters focus on providing the optimal treatment of and care for your skin. For patients with skin disease this involves accurate diagnosis combined with the most appropriate medical, surgical, laser or other therapy. We have invested in the most advanced diagnostic equipment including total body photography, dermoscopic imaging of lesions, pathology, blood tests, allergy testing, surgery and the full spectrum of diagnostic services provided by the Blackrock Clinic and UPMC.
We specialise in preventative and restorative treatments and in particular rosacea, acne, scarring and aged or sun damaged skin. Our goals are
- to reverse or prevent disease progression and the development of scarring or skin cancer
- to restore and retrieve the appearance of the skin that was lost through disease, ageing and/or environmental damage.
Dermatology Matters prioritise preventative care and early detection of skin cancer through a combination of skin care, skin cancer screening, aggressive treatment of sun damaged skin and a range of specialised products.
