Currently part of Dr. Condon’s team in Blackrock Clinic having trained as an assistant in dermatology from 2015. Began general nursing at SVUH in 1980. Took up a Midwifery position at the National Maternity Hospital from 1984 to 1986. Upon graduation volunteered to run a maternity clinic under the auspices of the French missionary Sisters in Nigeria. Returned to SVPH after one year to take up a position as staff nurse for 4 years. Transitioned career in 1989 to become a Montessori teacher in Sion Hill Blackrock, and completed the Irish Academy Computer Training in Dublin in 1996. Re-joined the nursing profession in 2007 with the Community Intervention Team in Rathmines primarily caring for oncology patients in their own homes. Subsequently chosen as part of a small group of nurses in the country to be trained as an oncology specialist in St James’s Hospital/Galway University Hospital.
