Viora Skin Tightening

Reaction by Viora is the new generation in non-invasive body contouring & skin tightening treatments. It offers multiple treatment applications:

Reaction combines the mechanism of advanced Radiofrequency (RF) energy and vacuum therapy that work with the body’s natural regeneration process to deliver safe and effective treatments for cellulite, body contouring, and tightening of the skin. Uniquely programmable vacuum therapy maximizes the penetration of RF energy in the treatment area and increases local blood circulation, stimulates lymphatic drainage and assists in the shrinkage of fat cell volume.

Fat cells in the subcutaneous layer are arranged in chambers surrounded by bands of connective tissue, called septae. With time, septae contract and harden, and are unable to hold the cells within the existing parameters. As a result, fat cells are push up against the skin surface, causing a dimpled skin appearance, also referred to as the lumpy, ‘cottage-cheese’ effect.

Using CORE technology, Reaction employs RF energy to the subcutaneous layers to deeply heat the skin tissues that contribute to cellulite, increasing the metabolic breakdown of adipocytes in the superficial fat layer and the diffusion of oxygen in the cells. At the same time, the vacuum therapy intensifies the treatment to facilitate deeper penetration of heat, stimulate lymphatic drainage and enhance the elasticity of the septae.

The treatment is suitable for multiple areas of the body including the buttocks, thighs, abdomen, and upper arms.

Fibroblasts are the major cells in the dermis which produce collagen and elastin fibres. The thickness of the dermis varies from person to person and is affected by age, exposure to sun,  smoking and environmental pollution. Common signs of skin aging include uneven skin tone and texture, wrinkles and folds around the eyes and mouth, and stretch marks on various areas of the body.

Reaction utilizes RF energy to stimulate existing collagen and elastin fibres, enhancing collagen production, and improving skin’s elasticity. Over time, collagen fibres contract, giving skin a firmer, tighter, more youthful appearance.

Reactio is highly programmable and can safely treat lax skin on various areas of the body (abdomen, upper arms, and hips) as well as the face (jowls, cheeks and forehead). Even the most delicate areas, such as eyes, neck and décolleté, can be addressed safely and effectively. Treating the upper part of the face (the forehead, upper lids and the lower lids) effectively addresses eyelid laxity and raising of the brows.

Our nurse will assess your basic medical history and skin elasticity, the treatment area anatomy, and your desired treatment goals. Viora REACTION uses three specially designed applicators to treat various large and small areas of the body. A vacuum draws skin and superficial fat into the handpiece, delivering the radio-frequency energy to a deeper level. This deeper penetration allows for greater visible skin tightening. Since RF energy uses an electrical current, the skin’s melanin is not at risk of damage and overall tissue damage is decreased.

The Viora REACTION is primarily targeted toward soft tissue tightening. Some fat loss may occur along with skin tightening as well. During your assessment, your specialist will help determine if significant fat needs to be removed from the treatment areas for best skin tightening results.

Improvement in skin tone will be observed immediately after treatment, with the longer-term collagen growth and restructuring becoming noticeable around 8 weeks.

Common side effects include swelling, redness and bruising. Redness typically resolves within a few hours of the treatment with swelling and bruising dissipating within a few days post-treatment.
